Acura, premium division of Japanese brand Honda, is said to be preparing something special for the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
While not officially confirmed by the manufacturer itself, Car and Driver reckons the new model could signal the return of the Legend nameplate to global markets – Honda retired its flagship sedan from export duties several years ago, but has been rebadging the Acura RLX in its home market of Japan as the Legend.
It's unclear how true the new Acura concept will stay to the slinky four-door coupe silhouette of the Precision concept, though the publication seems confident the vehicle headed for Pebble Beach should take on a similar form.
Currently, the Acura RLX is experiencing slow sales in North America and is getting on in age. It was first introduced to the US in 2013, and received a facelift in 2017. The Honda Legend-badged version was revealed for Japan in 2014.
For now, we'll have to wait until the Pebble Beach event, which kicks off on August 18. Stay tuned for all the latest.
