2019 BMW X7 pricing and specs

BMW has sharpened its pencil and brought the new X7 in below $120k, although the range still runs to $170k before on-road costs.

The 2019 BMW X7 will launch in Australia with a two-model lineup, both powered by diesel engines, and the most affordable variant available from the get-go.

It's a change from recent policy, where BMW would launch a more expensive, mid-grade variant and then add the price leader after the initial launch.

At launch, then, BMW will offer the X7 in xDrive 30d guise, priced from $119,900 before on-road costs, and M50d specification, priced from $169,900 before on-road costs. That means local buyers can't yet opt for the xDrive 40i or xDrive 50i. In Europe, the xDrive 50i won't be available at all.

The sub-$120k 30d offers up 195kW and 620Nm, while the M50d beats out 294kW and 760Nm. Both - indeed all X7s - feature an eight-speed automatic and xDrive AWD. The 50d also gets an M Sport differential. The extensive list of standard equipment for each model can be seen below.
