Here’s a look at what happened on the week of February 26 in years past.



26 February 2018: Nissan Terra revealed

Based on the same body-on-frame platform as the Navara ute, the Terra is something of a spiritual successor to the previous-generation Pathfinder – which was essentially a wagon-bodied version of the popular ute.



25 February 2017: Ford Fiesta ST revealed

The new Ford Fiesta ST is powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 147kW of power and 290Nm of torque, up 13kW and 50Nm over the standard outputs of the four-cylinder model, but identical to the 'overboost' numbers that can be churned out for up to 20 seconds.



26 February 2016: Hyundai Ioniq Plug-in, Electric revealed

The Ioniq Electric is powered by an electric motor with 88kW of power and 295Nm of torque. The motor drives the front wheels via single-speed transmission.

Top speed is rated at 165km/h, and the electric hatch is said to have a range of around 250km when its 28kWh lithium-ion polymer battery is fully charged.

For the Ioniq Plug-in, the 1.6-litre petrol engine is mated to a more powerful 45kW electric motor. A larger 8.9kWh lithium-ion polymer battery is said to deliver a pure electric driving range of over 50 kilometres. All up, Hyundai expects the plug-in to earn a fuel economy rating of 1.4L/100km.



26 February 2015: Audi R8 leaked ahead of Geneva debut

A photo that is claimed to be an official press shot of the new-generation 2015 Audi R8 has been posted online ahead of its scheduled debut at the 2015 Geneva motor show.



26 February 2014: Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake revealed

The Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake’s supercharged 5.0-litre V8 produces 404kW of power at 6500rpm and 680Nm of torque.

An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels, launching the super station wagon from 0-100km/h in a claimed 4.8 seconds (0.2sec shy of its sibling) and on to a sedan-matching 300km/h top speed.



25 February 2011: Lamborghini Aventador LP700 revealed

Leaked images of the new Lamborghini Aventador have surfaced on the web recently, revealing the entire bodywork in full detail.



26 February 2010: Lexus CT200h officially revealed

The first of its kind, the Lexus CT 200h is the world's only full hybrid compact vehicle to be launched in the premium segment, with the aim to entice new, younger customers to the brand.

It uses a Lexus Hybrid Drive powertrain comprising a 1.8-litre VVT-i petrol engine combined with an electric motor with power transferred to the front wheels via a ECVT intelligent electronic continuously variable transmission.
