Mitsubishi has once again teased the concept it plans to reveal at the 2019 Geneva motor show, revealing its chunky profile and split headlamp treatment.

Based on our brightened version of the teaser, pictured above, the car will have a face blending elements of Triton and Eclipse Cross, with the same split headlight treatment and bluff snout.

The car's profile is quite boxy, with a pair of sharp creases running along the flanks. The window line is flanked with chrome, and the roof has a contrast finish.

Meanwhile, the rear end is home to a set of slim taillights that represent a significant departure from the vertical units on the Pajero Sport, Eclipse Cross and Triton.

Previous teasers have revealed the concept is designed to bring "further developments in SUV styling and practicality along with a focus on next-generation technology and enhanced EV performance".

Mitsubishi has form with its concepts, generally turning them into production cars. Although it's tough to tell from this teaser, the Engelberg looks similar in size to the Pajero or Pajero Sport.

Given it's Triton-based, the Pajero Sport could be due for a refresh soon. Then again, the Pajero has its roots in 2006 – that's right, 13 years ago! – so it's long overdue a refresh. Could we be looking at a fresh Pajero? Time will tell...

While we're playing the speculation game, it could also be a fresh Outlander, given that car debuted in 2012.
