Citroen teases concept for Geneva

A pair of Citroen concept cars is bound for a French technology festival in May, but one of them might debut before that in Switzerland.

Citroen is prepping two concept cars to celebrate its centenary in 2019, one of which looks likely to debut at the Geneva motor show next month.

Speaking in a video posted on YouTube, Citroen CEO Linda Jackson said: "2019 is a perfect time to announce new mobility solutions", confirming both concepts will be on show at the VivaTechnology Exhibition in Paris this May. Only one, however,

“VivaTech will be an amazing opportunity to present two new concept cars. The first one will give Citroen’s vision in terms of urban mobility."

“The second one, unveiled at VivaTech, will embody Citroen’s take on ultra-comfort. Proudly designed with French startups, Citroen will showcase its latest innovations in digital or on-board customer experience. You’ll see that they are in tune with new customer mobility expectations."

You'll note only one of the concepts will actually be unveiled at VivaTech, leaving the door open for something to debut at Geneva in March. Hmmm.

Although we're not sure which concept it is, the video concludes with a teaser for one of the concepts, although exactly which one isn't clear.

There's also no real sense of size, so whether it's the urban solution or comfort-focused concept remains to be seen.
