Toyota GR Supra Performance Line: TRD-fettled concept revealed

Although it's just a concept car at the moment, we'd be very surprised if the parts pictured here don't make production in some form. Tasty.

Toyota has revealed a hotted-up take on its hotly-anticipated Supra at the Osaka Auto Messe, with the TRD Performance Line concept.

Although it's billed as a show car at the moment, the Performance Line likely showcases a range of factory accessories for the Supra.

The add-on parts include a front spoiler with canards, designed to smooth out the airflow around the front end, along with extended side skirts, unique trim on the doors, and an extended rear spoiler. Naturally, all the parts are made of carbon-fibre.

A set of unique lightweight 19-inch alloy wheels – forged aluminium, of course – finished in black are included, wrapped in a set of Michelin tyres.

There doesn't appear to be any performance upgrades fitted to this particular concept, but TRD doesn't appear to be done with the Supra just yet. Along with its images, the company's release says there's more to come. Hmmm.

We'd be very surprised if the parts didn't end up being offered in a similar vein to BMW M Performance Line add-ons. Toyota Australia has confirmed any performance parts or models will be badged GR instead of TRD moving forward, but hasn't offered any spec or pricing detail for the Supra.
