2019 Renault Zoe S Edition revealed
The new European range-topper gets a slightly sharper exterior, more gear inside, and a choice of two powertrains. Will it come to Australia? Stay tuned, we're working on that one.
Renault has added a top-spec S Edition to the Zoe range in Europe, with extra standard equipment and a more upmarket look.
Compared to the Euro base model, the Zoe S Edition comes with a Bose stereo and DAB radio, a reversing camera, the full suite of Renault Connected Services, and keyless entry.
Many of those features are already included in the Australian range-topper, although we miss out on the fancier stereo system.
A leather-trimmed steering wheel, heated/folding wing mirrors, automatic wipers and factory navigation is also standard fit.
Buyers will have a choice of 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels, both finished in black. The larger wheels are a no-cost option, essentially allowing people to weigh style with ride comfort and outright range.
It'll be offered with the same 68kW motor and 41kWh battery we get in Australia, or the punchier R110 model with its 80kW motor.
Australia
Renault said it isn't investigating a revised range-topping car, arguing "some of the equipment which has been included on the S Edition, such as the reversing camera and DAB radio are already standard on the Australian Intens version, so we believe the vehicle is already well positioned to make the most of the market opportunity today".
