Citroen Origins: Limited-edition models unveiled

Citroen has revealed a set of limited-run Origins edition cars, designed to celebrate 100 years since its foundation.

Based on the C1, C3, C3 Aircross, C-Elysee, C4 SpaceTourer and C4 Cactus, the cars have been treated to a raft of cosmetic upgrades. To start with, there are three exterior colours on offer: White, Grey, and Black.

A black contrasting roof and 17-inch black alloy wheels are on offer for people who spec lighter exterior colours, while the brands signature Airbumps are flanked by bronze detailing.

Origins badges adorn the front flanks and boot lids, while the bronze detailing – a nod to details on classic Citroens – have also been applied to the fog lamp bezels, door mirrors and c-pillar trim.

Interior changes are limited to unique seat upholstery. In the C3, that means grey and black seats with white highlights, offset by added bronze on the dashboard. You also get unique floor mats, both front and rear.

Although equipment is dependent on region, the Origins cars generally gain a handful of extra options. In the C3, buyers get a reversing camera, factory navigation, electric rear windows, autonomous emergency braking, driver attention alert, and automatic headlights.

The C4 Cactus gains a similar set of features, while the C4 SpaceTourer has the full gamut of family-friendly additions.

Australia

At this stage, Citroen Australia has no confirmed plans for the models. The company says it's "in discussions with PSA about these and other product opportunities in the centenary year for the marque".
