Aston Martin Valkyrie: Personalisation options revealed

The array of options offered to Valkyrie owners is truly staggering. Speaking of staggering, Aston Martin says the AMR Track Performance Package will make the car eight per cent faster around a track.

Aston Martin has continued its drip-feed of details about the upcoming Valkyrie hypercar, shedding some light on what's included in the AMR Track Performance Pack, and how owners will be able to customise their cars.

We're going to start with the Track Performance Pack (pictured below), given this is designed to be a one-of-a-kind weapon on a racetrack. The package means the car isn't road-legal, but Aston Martin says it makes the Valkyrie about eight per cent faster per lap.

Those gains come from a new front clamshell, a second set of exterior body panels, lighter titanium brakes, unique suspension and a set of matte-black magnesium wheels with carbon-fibre covers. Three liveries will be offered, each of which can be tweaked by the dream-makers in the Q by Aston Martin – Commission department.

Owners who decide to stay road-legal aren't exactly short of choices, either. Aston Martin has revealed four potential specifications for the car, each designed to "stay close to the designer's vision". Make sure you click on the images and have a scroll through the gallery to check them all out.

Options will include an exposed carbon-fibre roof, blacked-out exhaust pipes and mufflers, and Aston Martin badges made of titanium. The carbon can be tinted, as can the engine cover, while the aerodynamic wheel covers can be used as a canvas for a Q graphic design.

Even the headlamp bezels, steering wheel plate, and side-pod vents can be tweaked to suit an individual owner. On the red-and-black car pictured below, they're all finished in satin carbon-fibre, for those playing along at home.

The scope for personalisation continues inside, where there's a raft of choices for the seat trim, along with six potential colours for the race harnesses. Woven leather can be added to the door pockets and armrest trims, using a process developed for the One-77.

All the steering wheel switches are finished in anodised silver, red or black as standard, but Aston Martin is keen to highlight the fact they can optionally be finished in titanium. Given the Valkyrie's insane price and the bewildering array of options available, owners will be able to view their cars in a high-tech VR simulator before signing off on the design.

Can't be too careful, right?
