Freedom Motors Australia adds Kia Soul to wheelchair conversions range

The Kia Soul has become the latest vehicle added to the wheelchair conversion list of Australian-based company Freedom Motors Australia.

Freedom Motors Australia has been creating wheelchair transportation vehicles since 1997 and now modifies nine different new vehicles and seven old vehicles.

National sales manager, Garry Dale, said the addition of the Soul to the line-up would provide greater personal independence for people requiring disabled transport, as the smaller vehicle was less expensive to purchase and run.

“As soon as Kia launched the Soul, we knew it was the right vehicle for us – a stylish, economical and easy to drive vehicle, but engineered to be easily converted for wheelchair access,” Mr Dale said.

“The Kia Soul and Grand Carnival vehicles are, in our opinion, the best vehicles for modification for disabled transport. They are reliable and well-engineered and the quality of materials and standard equipment is second to none. Owners of our modified vehicles rarely have any problems with either the vehicle itself or the wheelchair access modifications.”

Freedom Motors has also recently added the Toyota Rukus to its range of new cars, joining the Tarago, Volkswagen Caddy, Chrysler Grand Voyager, Honda Jazz, Renault Kangoo and Hyundai iLoad.

Customers have the choice of buying the donor car themselves and paying for the conversion or purchasing the entire car and conversion package through Freedom Motors.

Freedom Motors says of the 200 vehicles it modifies each year, more than one third are Kia models.
