2019 BMW 3 Series pricing and specs
All-new Bavarian sedan set to come in two flavours from launch, priced from $67,900.
BMW Australia has announced pricing and specification details for the new-generation 3 Series sedan, which will start from $67,900 before on-road costs when it arrives in dealers from March.
Just two variants will be available from launch, the familiar 320d and 330i (from $70,900), offering one diesel and one petrol option.
Standard equipment highlights from the base level include adaptive LED headlights with auto high-beam, LED fog-lights, the M Sport package, along with the Driving Assistant package which includes lane-departure warning, lane-change warning, autonomous emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and speed sign recognition.
Other goodies include an automated park assistant, BMW Live Cockpit Professional incorporating a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch central touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, wireless smartphone charger, 18-inch alloys, and M Sport suspension.
Power in the base 320d comes from a 2.0-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder diesel making 140kW at 4000rpm and 400Nm between 1750 and 2500rpm. BMW says the diesel 3er can dash to 100km/h in 6.8 seconds, while sipping just 4.5L/100km.
Stepping up to the 330i adds M Sport brakes, 19-inch alloys, Driving Assistant Professional – steering and lane control assist, speed limit assist, lane-keep assist, and front cross-traffic alert – a surround camera system with Remote 3D View, along with comfort access.
The 330i is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, developing 190kW from 5000 to 6500rpm and 400Nm between 1550 and 4400rpm. BMW claims 0-100 is dispatched in 5.8 seconds, with fuel consumption rated at 6.4L/100km.
