2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport spied

Facelifted SUV spotted in the snow wearing some heavy disguise.

Photographers have snapped the updated Land Rover Discovery Sport during development testing this week, ahead of an anticipated reveal sometime later in the year.

Normally with mid-life facelifts the camouflage is limited to the front and rear ends concealing revised bumpers and light units, but here the whole vehicle bar the roof is wrapped in swirly black-and-white wrap.

From what we can see, the Discovery Sport is set to get a makeover to make it look more like the larger Discovery, with Range Rover-like curves and slim LED head- and tail-lights.

We're expecting bigger changes to occur inside the cabin, with a comprehensive technology update that should bring the smallest Land Rover model in line with the brand's latest offerings – widescreen infotainment, digital driver's instruments, and the latest in active safety tech should headline the upgrades.

Under the skin, a revised engine line-up is also expected to feature, including a range of turbocharged four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. Mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions are likely, too.

The updated Discovery Sport is said to be scheduled for reveal later this year, with an Australian market launch likely to occur early in 2020. Stay tuned for all the latest, and click on the photos for the full image gallery.
