2019 BMW 7 Series facelift leaked

New front-end design certainly stands out from the crowd.

The BMW 7 Series facelift has been leaked online ahead of its official debut.

This photo was posted by Stan Rudman, a businessman based in Miami Beach, Florida, on his Instagram account, and seems to have been taken at preview event hosted by BMW.

The image seems to be authentic as it marries up nicely with earlier spy photos. The facelifted 7 Series has a completely reworked front end dominated by an oversized chrome grille clearly inspired by the one used on the recently unveiled X7 crossover.

Other changes up front include a bolder bumper design with larger intake-style apertures, a new bonnet with a prominent raised centre section, and slim-line headlights.

Updates for the rear-end and interior are rumoured to be less dramatic. At the back the updated 7 Series is expected to feature tail-light graphics similar to the latest 3 Series.

Inside the cabin the 7 Series should feature a customisable digital instrumentation screen, and the company's latest touchscreen infotainment system.

Changes under the skin have, obviously, yet to be confirmed, but we would be surprised if the 8 Series' new 390kW/750Nm 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 isn't utilised in some capacity.

A report in Autocar claims the updated car will also feature a more powerful 745e plug-in hybrid model with around 300kW of power.
