CarAdvice on YourMoney, 19 December 2018: What’s on this week’s show?

NEW TIME: CarAdvice now airs Wednesdays at 7:30pm AEDT on free-to-air channel 95 and Foxtel channel 601.

On this week's episode of CarAdvice, Trent Nikolic and Paul Maric look at the new Mitsubishi Triton, look into the Australia success story that is ARB, and talk about the best commercial vans on the market today.

First up: Toyota has confirmed there will be three drivetrain options on the new RAV4 SUV in Australia, including a hybrid. It's due to touch down in the second quarter of 2019.

Kia and Hyundai are planning to put solar roofs into production next year. Hybrid vehicles will be fitted with the system, designed to recharge the batteries.

Finally, there's a new Mitsubishi Triton, and it looks tough. The dual-cab will touch down early in 2019, with pricing increased slightly to reflect the extra equipment on offer.

Moving on, Trent and Paul talk to Matthew Frost from ARB aftermarket accessories, an Australian success story in off-roading with offices in the USA, Europe and the Middle East, and an export network that extends through more than 100 countries around the globe.

They also compare the Mazda CX-5 and Volkswagen Tiguan, two strong sellers in the increasingly competitive mid-sized SUV segment.

ADVICE: What are the best value commercial vans? We look at Toyota HiAce, Renault Trafic and Hyundai iLoad.
