2019 BMW X1 facelift interior and exterior spied

Minor changes to the exterior, and a larger infotainment screen are the major upgrades

The updated BMW X1 has been spied again, this time during cold weather testing in Europe's northern reaches.

As we've seen in earlier spy photo sets, the revised X1 will feature slimmer headlights with updated graphics, a revised double-kidney grille, and more aggressive vents in the front bumper.

Out back, the tail-lights have new graphics with the indicator and brake light positions switched around. The rear bumper has also been revised with less grey plastic.

Inside the cabin, the X1 will be available with a larger free-standing infotainment screen, and a revised instrumentation setup.

Under the bonnet we expect the X1 to feature updated turbocharged three- and four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines.

It's possible the range may gain an M-tuned model to give buyers a more practical alternative to the X2 M35i xDrive, which has a 225kW/450Nm 2.0-litre turbo and all-wheel drive.

Given how the disguise tape is limited to the updated areas on the car, an early 2019 debut for the revised X1 seems to be in order.
