Take a trip through the CarAdvice archives...

People often say “don’t forget where you came from”. Although we’re focused on every new car, every last detail here at CarAdvice, we have an extensive back-catalogue of news stories, lifestyle yarns and reviews.

10 December 2017: McLaren Senna revealed

Working with The Senna Foundation, McLaren has licensed the rights to use the name of its most famous driver, and there’s some additional justification from the fact Ayrton’s nephew, Bruno Senna, worked as one of the development drivers.

There’s a strong Ferrari Enzo quality to the moniker – and it’s not as if “McLaren Bruce” would really work – but sticking the Senna name on anything runs the risk of serious hyperbole.

12 December 2016: Lexus LC500 first look review

While it might look like the 2012 LF-LC concept car, this is the production version, the Lexus LC 500 coupe, and it goes as good as it looks.

12 December 2014: Audi RS3 Sportback revealed

The Ingolstadt marque’s returning RS3 hero gives it a proper rival for the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG and BMW M135i, and a bonafide A3 range-topper to supplant the incumbent S3. It is also quattro GmbH’s seventh RS model line.

In fact, its muscular 2.5-litre TFSI five-cylinder turbo shades the AMG and M car alike with outputs of 270kW and 465Nm of torque, the latter available between 1625-5550rpm.

12 December 2013: BMW M3 and M4 revealed

The first-ever generation of the BMW M4 nameplate and the fifth of the M3, the duo marks the iconic sports car’s first use of an inline six-cylinder engine since the second and third M3 generations.

Both powered by the same newly developed twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine, BMW claims the unit combines the high-revving nature of a naturally aspirated unit with the strengths of turbocharging.
