2018 Lexus LS500 recalled

More than 70 cars affected by an issue with the ECU.

Lexus has recalled the 2018 LS500 V6, over concerns about the stop/start system.

According to the company, the engine control unit could miscalculate the car's air intake volume, causing the engine to stall as the driver accelerates.

If the engine stalls, owners can restart it using the start button. A warning will also display in the instrument binnacle, letting the driver know

A loss of power increases the risk of an accident, both for the driver and other road users.

The 73 affected vehicles were built between January 2018 and August 2018. A VIN list is attached here.

Lexus will get in touch with owners and advise them to contact their nearest dealership for a free fix.
