2020 Lexus RC F Track Edition to debut in Detroit

Large rear wing will grace a new range-topping RC F variant

The Lexus RC F Track Edition will make its debut at the 2019 Detroit motor show, which takes place in the middle of January.

Apart from the teaser image of the car's large carbon-fibre rear wing, and its debut date and name, Lexus hasn't revealed any other details about the new range-topping RC variant.

Last spied on the Nurburgring, the Track Edition will feature revised front and rear bumpers, more aggressive side sills, and a carbon-fibre bonnet with a large vent.

We expect the new variant will once again feature the company's 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8, but power and torque could be bumped up from the RC F's current 351kW of power and 530Nm of torque.

The car should also feature revisions to its suspension and braking packages. Given its name, it might also have a pared back interior with less sound deadening, fewer amenities and thinner, tighter-fitting seats.

Lexus will put all of this speculation to bed when it whips off the covers on January 14, US time.
