2017/18 Honda Civic Type R recalled

Just 23 cars are impacted by the campaign, which relates to the owner's manual.

Honda has recalled the 2017-18 Civic Type R, over concerns about the owner's manual.

In one of the stranger recalls we've covered, some cars may have been supplied with an owner's manual missing certain required information. In other cars, the manual might not have been supplied at all.

According to the company, having the incorrect information in the manual could make owners misuse or misunderstand things like the seatbelts, child anchorage systems, and vehicle notifications/warnings.

A total of 23 vehicles sold between July 23, 2017 and May 11, 2018 are impacted by the campaign. A VIN list is attached here.

Honda will contact owners of the affected vehicles when new manuals become available on January 7, 2019.
