Audi e-tron GT concept teased again

Sports sedan previewed one more time ahead of its LA debut.

The Audi e-tron GT concept has been teased again ahead of its debut at the 2018 Los Angeles motor show on November 28, local time.

Marc Lichte, Audi's head of design, appeared on Bild to give the German magazine a sneak peak of the car's head- and tail-light designs.

He confirmed the car's battery pack will be rated at almost 100kWh, and should allow the e-tron GT to travel around 400km between charges. It will be able to sprint from 0-100km/h in about four seconds.

The production version of the e-tron GT will be based on the upcoming Porsche Taycan, and should begin trundling out of the factory in 2020.

Audi plans to have 12 all-electric models on sale by 2025 stretching from small city cars to more family-friendly fare.

A short 15 second video posted on Audi's Facebook page revealed the upcoming concept's silhouette, which, to our eyes, isn't a world removed from the A7 liftback, although its roof does seem closer to the ground.

An earlier teaser sketch revealed the e-tron GT's styling should be an order of magnitude sportier than the petrol and diesel A7.
