2020 Genesis G90 leaked

With aggressive new G80 and G70 treatments now on the world stage, the dull G90 is getting a makeover to match.

The new Genesis G90 has been outed wearing minimal camouflage, revealing an all-new look – headlined by a massive grille – for the Korean brand's luxury flagship.

Photos shared on a Korean forum reveal the sedan will get a bold new snout, led by Genesis's take on the current trend for massive grilles. It dominates the front end, with a criss-crossing chrome pattern.

The headlights have a hint of Volvo about them, minus the Thor's Hammer graphic of course, while there's a prominent chrome element on the bottom of the front bumper. You're not going to miss it, that's for sure.

The new rear-end represents a huge departure from the previous G90, with a set of broad, horizontal tail-lights spanning the vehicle's width. They frame the 'GENESIS' name writ large across the boot, suggesting the (fairly generic) winged badge might be taking a back seat as awareness of the brand grows.

We're seeing (more than) a hint of Lincoln in the design, right down to the heavy reliance on chrome highlights. The dual exhaust pipes mimic the shape of the new grille, too. Points for consistency there.

When it's launched – potentially at the Los Angeles motor show – the new G90 is expected to offer active noise cancellation, an active suspension system, a range of two-tone paint jobs, and new 18-inch alloy wheels.

A 12.3-inch central display will likely feature, along with an updated infotainment system, music recognition, remote smartphone access and over-the-air mapping/infotainment updates.
