Toyota Avalon, Camry TRD revealed ahead of LA debut
Medium and large sedans get sporty body kits and interior trims, no word on powertrain upgrades though.
Toyota USA has given a first look at the new Avalon TRD and Camry TRD on social media, ahead of a full reveal at the Los Angeles motor show later this month.
Unveiled as part of a '#TRDtakeover' Facebook video series, the TRD-fettled sedans appear to be more or less styling and suspension packages, including body kits, wings, wheels, and sportier interior trims.
Final specifications aren't available yet, though isn't believed the Avalon and Camry TRD variants will be getting beefier outputs from their V6 (Avalon and Camry) and four-cylinder (Camry) powertrains.
Glossy black bits highlight the body kits that adorn each model, as do black TRD-branded alloy wheels, and rear spoilers.
The interior peek of the Camry TRD also shows leather/suede seat trim with red top-stitching and 'TRD' embroidered headrests, along with red seat belts and model-specific floor mats.
