A pack of four ultra high-end and high-power SUVs go head-to-head on the drag strip.

The 'super-SUV' segment is a relatively young one, but it's already getting crowded. Along with the Tesla Model X P100D, there's the new Lamborghini Urus, the recently-revealed Mercedes-AMG G63 and the Range Rover Sport SVR competing for (lots of) your dollars.

To work out which is the quickest in a straight line, Mat Watson from Carwow pulled the aforementioned vehicles together for a drag race.

On paper, the cars are quite evenly matched. The G63 makes 430kW from its 4.0-litre V8 engine, while the Urus squeezes 478kW from a V8 of the same capacity.

The SVR has an extra litre of displacement to play with, and runs with supercharging instead of turbocharging, but 'only' manages 423kW. Finally the Model X offers up 450kW from its four electric motors. It also has something called Ludicrous Mode...

We'll leave the question of which is the best-looking car up to you, but there's no arguing about which is quickest.
