Poll: 2019 Holden Acadia falls short against Toyota Kluger

This week, it's all about golden rear-engine sports cars. Old or new, which would you have?

The just-released Holden Acadia is aimed directly at the Toyota Kluger, with a naturally-aspirated V6 engine, brash styling, and seven seats.

Unfortunately for the Lion Brand, it's also dropped short of the Toyota in our latest poll, winning just 37 per cent of the 2200 votes cast.

It's been two years since Holden announced the Acadia, which is a GMC in its home market, would be coming to Australia. Power comes from the same 3.6-litre V6 engine offered in the Commodore, while pricing kicks off $43,490 before on-road costs.

The Toyota Kluger, on the other hand, draws on a 3.5-litre petrol V6 for motivation. Pricing starts at $44,500 before on-roads,

THIS WEEK'S POLL

This weekend, the Porsche 911 993 Turbo Project Gold sold for more than $4.0 million at auction. You could have the modern car with which it shares that black-and-gold look – along with a Turbo badge – for less than $500k. Oh, and you're not allowed to drive the old car on the road. Which would you take?

Note: We're trying out Google Forms for our poll this week, given Facebook doesn't embed correctly. Google requires a sign-in to make sure only one response is recorded. If you don't use Google, or have problems with the form, let us know in the comments and we'll keep fiddling.
