2019 Nissan Maxima revealed ahead of LA debut
Facelifted sedan to offer more safety kit and fresh looks when it goes on sale in the US before year's end.
Nissan North America has partially revealed the updated 2019 Maxima this week, before its public debut at the Los Angeles motor show next month.
Scheduled to go on sale in the US from December, the updated Maxima will offer Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology, meaning a wider range of active safety systems should be offered depending on variant, including autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane departure warning.
Compared to the model first revealed at the 2015 New York motor show, the updated Maxima gets new bumpers, full-LED headlights, and slimmer LED daytime-running lights which run in a strip rather than the dotted look of the outgoing version.
Further changes are yet to be detailed, so we'll probably have to wait until the LA motor show to kick off on November 30.
Don't expect to see the new Maxima in Australian showrooms anytime soon, however, as it's only built in left-hand drive.
