Jaguar took the XE to its logical extreme with the Project 8, squeezing a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine making 441kW and 700Nm under the mid-sized sedan's body.
Unfortunately, very few were built. Just 300 left-hook examples rolled forth from the factory, making it a seriously rare cat.
To try and link the limited-run Project 8 with a more mundane – but still sporty – sibling, Jaguar took a blue example to the Pendine Sands in Wales, and set about doing some synchronised drifting with an XE 300 Sport.
Although it's significantly less powerful than the wild, winged Project 8, the 300 Sport still looks like fun. Check out the video below.
