Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, ASX, Outlander recalled
More than 35,500 SUVs are included in the latest campaign from Mitsubishi.
Mitsubishi Australia has recalled the 2018 Eclipse Cross, 2017/18 Outlander, and 2018/19 ASX, over concerns about the active stability control (ASC) safety systems.
According to the company, 'incorrect operation' of the ASC could make active safety systems like adaptive cruise control, forward-collision mitigation, brake holding, hill-start assist and all-wheel drive disable momentarily.
If those systems are unexpectedly disabled while driving, there's an increased risk of an accident.
A total of 35,850 units are included in the campaign – a VIN list is attached here.
Mitsubishi will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to get in touch with their nearest dealer for a fix.
