The upcoming Tata Harrier crossover has been teased ahead of its full debut next year.
In these latest teasers, we can see the production crossover will share many styling cues with the H5X concept, including its smooth body surfacing and window graphics with a blacked-out roof and pillars.
The Harrier will also incorporate a wide grille flanked by a set of thin LED driving lights. Like the setup in the Hyundai Kona and pre-facelift Jeep Cherokee, the main headlight units are disguised and reside further down the front fascia.
The Tata Harrier will use a version of Land Rover's D8 platform, which was developed under Ford's stewardship, and is itself a related to the EUCD architecture used by the previous generation Ford Mondeo, Volvo S60 and S80, amongst others.
For its use in the Harrier, it has been re-christened Optimal Modular Efficient Global Architecture, which is mouthful until you realise the backronym is Omega.
In a unique twist, the Harrier will be powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine dubbed Kyrotec. Instead of being based on Jaguar Land Rover's Ingenium engine family, this motor is, according to Top Gear India, supplied by Fiat Chrysler.
