Toyota Australia has launched an upgraded LandCruiser 200 Series with new features added to the volume-selling GXL and VX models for the 2019 model year.

UPDATE, 4/10/18: The original press information stated that pricing was unchanged for the 2019 LandCruiser 200 Series, Toyota has since clarified this isn't the case and that there are nominal increases across the board. See bottom of article for details.

Highlights include the introduction of front and rear parking sensors on the GXL, along with a new colour 4.2-inch multi-function driver's display and leather-accented multi-function steering wheel on the mid-tier grade.

The VX, meanwhile, now gets several assistance technologies previously reserved for the top-shelf Sahara model. For 2019 the VX gets blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a multi-terrain monitor incorporating a surround camera system, along with auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors.

In terms of pricing, there are slight rises for the 2019 model year, starting at $78,190 (+$300) for the five-seat GX V8 turbo-diesel, topping out at $120,330 (+$400) for the flagship Sahara fitted with the V8 turbo-diesel. See bottom of article for a full price list.

Toyota managed 929 LandCruiser registrations (including 70 Series wagon models) for the month of September and now sits at 10,381 units year-to-date – an increase of 10.6 per cent on September 2017 and 8.4 per cent YTD.
