Hyundai has revealed the i30 N Option show car at the 2018 Paris motor show, previewing some of the racy add-ons buyers could soon add to their hot hatches.
No less than 25 exterior and interior individualisation options are showcased on this vehicle, including a carbon-fibre bodykit, a massive carbon-fibre rear wing, and 20-inch lightweight alloys shod in high-performance semi-slick tyres.
There's also a carbon-fibre bonnet with integrated air vents, a red character line forming the border of the lower half of the cascading grille, and a unique matte exterior finish created specifically for the show car.
Inside, there's more carbon-fibre across the dashboard, around the air vents, in the doors, and on the steering wheel, along with Alcantara just about everywhere. Lightweight sports bucket seats feature too, trimmed in leather and Alcantara, which proudly wears a red centre line and the N logo embroidered in the headrest.
Rounding out the cabin add-ons are new sports pedals, a new shift knob, and various interior customisation options that, interestingly, aren't specified.
We can't help but draw comparisons between the options shown here and BMW's M Performance accessories range – that's no surprise considering Hyundai's performance boss, Albert Biermann, used to head BMW's M Division.
Hyundai has confirmed that a new 'N Option' range will be launched in the "near future", though a specific date or details on exactly which parts from the show car will be available to customers hasn't been detailed.
