If you're keen to find out how the Ford Fiesta ST sounds and goes before it lands in Aussie showrooms next year, this new video could be the answer to your prayers.

Published on YouTube by AutoTopNL, the clip shows the Blue Oval's smallest performance model hitting north of 230km/h on a German autobahn, along with a 0-100 test.

The Fiesta ST is powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol making 147kW of power and 290Nm of torque, sent to the front wheels exclusively via a six-speed manual transmission. Ford claims the hot Fiesta can dash from 0-100 in 6.7 seconds.

While the core Fiesta line-up won't be heading to Australia, Ford's local division has confirmed the ST will be hitting local showrooms during the second quarter of 2019.
