2019 Jaguar XE spied

The British 3 Series rival looks like it'll get a mid-life refresh very soon.

The facelifted Jaguar XE has been snapped by photographers during development testing, ahead of an anticipated debut early next year.

Despite the heavy camouflage, we can see the overall shape of the mid-sized sedan won't change a heap, with the front and rear ends the main areas for revision.

The headlights up front look slimmer and appear to sport a new LED daytime-running light signature. From what we can make out the tail-lights looks slimmer too. Expect changes to the bumpers front and rear too.

It's believed more noticeable changes will be made to the XE's technology suite, with an array of new driver assistance technologies with semi-autonomous drive capability likely to be offered, along with the latest Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) infotainment systems.

The XE is also expected to get revised powertrains as well, including a rumoured mild-hybrid setup for improved fuel efficiency and lowered emissions.

In terms of timing, the updated XE is believed to be on track for a 2019 Geneva motor show debut in March next year. Stay tuned to CarAdvice for all the latest.
