2019 Rezvani Tank X revealed with Hellcat engine

The not-for-shrinking-violets SUV turns the volume way past 11

The Rezvani Tank X is a just a little bit more extreme than the standard model, and has a price to match.

Under the bonnet the Tank X features Fiat Chrysler's supercharged 6.2-litre V8 Hellcat engine making 527kW of power and 963Nm of torque. All of that craziness is delivered to all four wheels via an on-demand all-wheel drive system, which can be disabled for on-road driving.

The company hasn't provided any performance figures for the Tank X, but we do know it tips the scales at 1950kg. It also measures 4.98 metres long, 2.13m wide, and 2.11m tall.

Standard features on the Tank X include the Tank's Off-Road Extreme Package, which include a 6.0-inch lift kit, Dynatrac ProRock XD60/80 axles, large ProGrip brakes, Fox off-road shocks, and 37-inch tyres.

Also standard is an LED light bar at the top of the front windshield, and electronically operated rear suicide doors.

Options include automatic side step deployment and a thermal night vision system. Unlike the regular Tank, the X can't be specified with ballistic armour.

The Tank X has a starting price of US$259,000 ($357,000), a significant premium over the regular Tank, which starts at US$165,000 ($227,000) and has a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 cranking out 373kW of power.

Both these models are a huge step up from the Jeep Wrangler, upon which the Tank and Tank X are based.
