Mercedes-AMG Project One snapped in testing

Mercedes-AMG has tactically revealed some of the Project One in testing. You know, just to whet the appetite...

Mercedes-AMG has released new images of its upcoming Project One hypercar undergoing testing.

The Project One has been put through extensive tests recently, in order to ensure its Formula 1-derived hybrid technology will work effectively in a road-going car.

A recent report from Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport recently revealed the Project One has been undergoing testing at closed circuits in both Spain and England.

It is likely these photos were taken at the Millbrook Proving Grounds near Milton Keynes in England, but Mercedes-AMG hasn't disclosed exactly where they were snapped.

The Project One is set to be powered by a mid-mounted 1.6-litre turbocharged V6, along with four electric motors. Set to produce over 746kW, it'll accelerate from 0-200km/h in less than six seconds.

Mercedes-AMG has been conducting extensive testing on the Project One ahead of its debut next year. Only 275 examples will be produced, all of which are already sold, at a price of approximately $3.7 million.
