Skoda Vision RS Concept interior teased

And it looks sporty... There's plenty of red and black, and lots of nice materials.

Skoda has revealed another look at its upcoming Vision RS Concept, ahead of the car's reveal at the Paris motor show in October.

The concept previews a new compact Skoda, likely the Rapid given the extended glass tailgate, and offers a glimpse at the styling cues that'll adorn the next generation of RS-badged models.

We've already seen the outside – well, sort of. Skoda has now deemed the interior fit for public consumption, revealing a sketch of the red-and-black cockpit hiding beneath the car's sporty exterior.

Red and black remain the dominant colours, but the dashboard design is far more complex than that of current RS models, with a floating tablet screen protruding from a piece of metal trim atop the dash.

There are lightweight loops in place of door handles, hand-cut glass inserts around the cabin, a fully carbon transmission tunnel and unique layouts for the dials and infotainment system.

Although production cars might not perfectly mimic the concept, Skoda has form in turning its show cars into a reality. The 2014 Vision D became the Rapid, the Vision C turned into a Superb, and the Vision S provided a clear look at the Kodiaq. Elements of the RS will undoubtedly end up in showrooms, although which remain to be seen.

The Vision RS will be unveiled at the Paris motor show, stay tuned for our coverage.
