2018 Ford Everest recalled
'Certain' off-roaders could be equipped with faulty seats.
Ford Australia has issued a recall for the 2018 Everest over concerns the seat cushion frame may not be to specification, which could pose a safety risk in the event of an accident.
According to the Blue Oval, certain vehicles produced from 9 March 2018 through 13 March 2018 could have seat cushion frames that have improper welding.
If the condition occurs, Ford says the seat could exhibit noise between separated components, displacement or deformation of the seat cushion frame, along with incomplete or irregular motion of the seat during adjustment.
The fault also poses a risk of injury to occupants "due to sharp edges and potential degradation of occupant safety in the event of an incident".

Owners of the recalled Everest models will be contacted by Ford Australia via mail, and are advised to contact their local dealer for inspection and rectification of their vehicle.
