2019 Skoda Octavia RS pricing and specs

Updated range now gets 180kW tune and front diff as standard, also offering Virtual Cockpit for the first time.

Skoda Australia has revealed pricing and specs for the 2019 Octavia RS, now available exclusively with a dual-clutch transmission and the more powerful 180kW engine tune.

The car will be offered in RS 2.0 TSI and RS 245 grades as a sedan or wagon, sending 180kW and 370Nm to the front wheels through a seven-speed DSG. An electrically-controlled limited-slip differential is standard across the range, too.

Pricing kicks off at $39,990 before on-road costs for the RS 2.0 TSI sedan, or $41,490 before on-roads for the wagon. Standard equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, full-LED headlights, city-speed autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, driver fatigue monitoring, tyre pressure monitoring and seven airbags.

Inside, you get an 8.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (no navigation, thought), an eight-speaker audio system, a rear-view camera with rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, and RS sport seats. Automatic headlights and wipers round out the spec sheet.

Jumping to the full-fat RS 245 sedan boosts the price to $45,490 before on-road costs, with the wagon topping out at $46,990.

Atop the base specification of the 2.0 TSI, you get adaptive dampers, keyless entry and start, front parking sensors, automatic park assist, a 9.2-inch infotainment system with navigation, a 10-speaker sound system and a wireless phone charging pad.

There are a few options, headlined by the Luxury Pack ($2800) for the range-topping RS 245. It brings red-stitched leather/suede seats, electric front seat adjustment, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, seat heaters for both rows, and auto-folding door mirrors.

Metallic paint ($500), the Skoda Virtual Cockpit ($700), a sunroof ($1500 sedan/$1700 wagon), 19-inch alloy wheels ($700), electric boot opening (wagon, $500) and three/five-year service packaging ($860/$1700) round out the options list.
