2018 Lexus RC F, GS F limited edition pricing and specs

Special finishes commemorate 10 years of Lexus F on two-door coupe, four-door sedan.

Lexus has revealed two special edition models to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 'F' performance brand, with unique exterior finishes and unique interior appointments.

The RC F and GS F have both been treated to a makeover, with a matte Fuji Graphite paint finish on the body, door handles, mirror housings, side skirts and antenna. It contrasts with a polished black set of 19-inch alloy wheels, behind which hide a set of blue painted brake calipers.

All limited-edition models come with the carbon package, which adds an active rear spoiler and a carbon-fibre roof. How very BMW M of you, Lexus.

That same blue has been used for the unique F badging on the front fenders but, more importantly for enthusiastic drivers, there are new dampers for a more rigid feeling and sharper handling than the standard car. They're not finished in blue.

Inside, the front seats are wrapped in white-accented, bright blue semi-aniline leather with the F logo embossed in the headrest. That same blue leather is also used on the steering wheel, shift knob, instrument binnacle, centra console and seatbelts.

The blue finish doesn't extend to the rear seats or headlining, both of which are black. There's carbon-fibre in blue, black and silver scattered around the cabin, along with unique badging to commemorate the F brand's 10th anniversary.

Power in both cars come from a naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8 with 351kW and 530Nm, the latter on tap from 4800rpm. You'll revel in the noise through every single sweep of the rev needle, with no sound-sucking turbochargers to dull the experience.

“The letter F symbolises a series of Lexus cars that are designed and engineered to deliver a higher level of sporting style and driving reward,” Scott Thompson, Lexus Australia chief executive, said.

“These rare and exclusive versions reinforce that F models are built for drivers to immerse themselves in pure driving pleasure and satisfying performance.”

Both models will be in showrooms from Wednesday, September 5. The RC F will be priced from $151,929 before on-road costs, the GS F will cost $155,940 before on-roads.
