Audi RS4 v BMW M3 CS drag race – video

Ever wondered if the Audi RS4 is quicker than a BMW M3 CS ? Well, your question is about to be answered.

In the latest instalment of his drag race series, Mat Watson from Carwow pits Audi's medium-sized fast wagon against the hottest version of BMW's current-generation M3 in a straight-line race, along with a rolling acceleration test.

On paper, the M3 CS claims a slightly quicker 3.9-second sprint from 0-100 compared to the Audi's 4.1-second claim, though the latter comes with the added traction of quattro all-wheel drive.

In terms of outputs, the pair are also evenly matched. The RS4 makes 331kW of power and 600Nm of torque from its 2.9-litre bi-turbo V6, while the M3 CS puts out 338kW and 600Nm from its 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight six.
