2019 Renault Koleos facelift spied

Only minor changes seem to be in store for the crossover's mid-cycle update

The facelifted Renault Koleos crossover has been photographed during hot weather testing in southern Europe.

The styling changes seem to be quite minor, so if you don't fancy the appearance of the current Koleos, you probably won't be swayed by the updated model.

The model's distinctive C-shaped headlights remain, although there may be some fiddles to the internal structure of the lighting units. The creases and scalloping around the lower air intake and fog light units have given a small tweak.

As there's some tape around the leading edge of the front doors, the Koleos' fake vent may be up for a redesign. It's possible the car will feature a tweaked rear bumper and tail-light graphics, but we can't make out any significant differences.

No pictures have yet emerged showing the updated crossover's interior, but the facelift will likely include additional safety equipment and upgrades to the interior trim. Renault may even upgrade the car's infotainment system too.

Until the end of July this year, Renault has sold 1928 units of the Koleos in Australia, up from 1741 in the same period last year. Despite making a 10 per cent improvement, the Koleos is still a small player in the mid-size SUV segment.

The French entrant is well behind the top three, which consists of the Mazda CX-5 (16,080), Toyota RAV4 (13,623), and its plaform-mate, the Nissan X-Trail (12,127).
