Single-seat electric speedster to make its debut on August 23, US time
The Infiniti Prototype 10 has been teased through a new, more revealing sketch ahead of its full debut at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
The Prototype 10 is a single-seat speedster with styling that's a "natural evolution" from the Infiniti Q Inspiration concept unveiled at this year Detroit motor show.
Infiniti says the styling draws on some of the "most evocative car designs of all time", namely the single-seat race cars from early years of the automobile, and is inspired by the "optimistic bygone era in which cars were characterised by the simple love of driving".
Aside from this, the new concept car also provides "hints at future design cues" that will be applied to future production Infiniti products.
Nissan's luxury marque has already stated all of its new production cars from 2021 onwards will feature electrified drivetrains. Its first pure electric car will go on sale that year, and the company hopes electrified cars will account for half of its sales by 2025.
