McLaren 720S Pacific Theme, Track Theme by MSO revealed

Bespoke division shows off two special supercars based the colour schemes of motorsport and the ocean.

McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has revealed two new 'design themes' for the 720S supercar, inspired by configurations shown at the model's debut at last year's Geneva motor show.

The 'Track Theme' (white) and 'Pacific Theme' have been created as bespoke commissions, the former influenced by the colour scheme of McLaren's past and present Formula 1 race cars, while the latter "draws on the sophisticated technical luxury of the 720S".

Finished in Anniversary White, the 720S Track Theme by MSO has been commissioned by McLaren Manchester, and features hand-painted Carbon Black details on the bonnet, doors, rear quarter panels and airbrake, accented by elements in Tarroco Orange – McLaren's 2017 Formula 1 colour.

The white exterior paint of this particular project is an MSO Bespoke colour inspired by the championship-winning McLaren Formula 1 cars of the 1980s. Meanwhile, the Tarroco orange accents continue along the outside of the gloss black alloy wheels, along with the 'Speedy Kiwi' motifs on the side mirrors.

Inside, the cabin is trimmed in Carbon Black Alcantara, featuring McLaren Orange contrast stitching. Behind the seats is a titanium harness bar – said to be around 50 per cent lighter than a steel unit – and is compatible with a six-point harness for track use.

Rounding out the Track Theme is satin carbon-fibre finishes throughout the cabin and exterior, which McLaren says saves weight and reinforces the "authentic sporting intent".

Meanwhile, the 720S Pacific Theme by MSO has been commissioned by McLaren Glasgow, finished in Cerulean Blue. The door intakes are finished in a darker Estoril Blue, while the carbon-fibre components for the splitter, roof, diffuser, mirrors and rear deck have been tinted in Cobalt Blue.

For the interior, McLaren has added bespoke blue inserts for the standard sports seats and contrast stitching, along with a 'discreet' blue centre band on the steering wheel.

Both vehicles feature MSO dedication plaques in the cabin to "reinforce their status as bespoke commissions" by MSO.
