Infiniti teases electrified concept for Pebble Beach

Performance design study to be unveiled on August 23.

Infiniti has released a new teaser image of an "electrified performance concept" it will debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance at the end of the month.

Not much has been revealed about the vehicle, but the image appears to be an overhead shot of the cockpit, which appears to be a one-seater speedster-style layout – Infiniti has revealed several retro-inspired concepts at previous Pebble Beach events.

The marque says the design study is "the first project to come to fruition under the direction of Karim Habib" – the new executive design director for Infiniti.

"Our new concept provides clues to where the Infiniti brand is heading," said Habib.

"For us, electrification means performance – our electrified cars will be powerful, efficient, and a joy to drive, and the new concept is a physical representation of our electrified performance future.”

The company says the concept will "provide a window" into its plans for "driving joy and thrilling performance from electrified powertrains".

Earlier this year, Infiniti confirmed it will roll out a range of electrified and all-electric models from 2021.
