2019 Infiniti Q50, Q60 pricing and specs

Revised range packs less complexity, price cuts for most models.

Infiniti has revised its Q50 and Q60 ranges, cutting the number of variants on offer in half for a simpler line-up and, in most cases, lowering prices.

On the sedan side of things, the naming structure has been brought into line with Infiniti's global protocols. That means the range kicks off with the Q50 2.0T Pure, priced from $54,900 before on-road costs. Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine making 155kW and 350Nm, put to the rear wheels through a seven-speed torque converter.

Sitting above the 2.0T Pure is the 3.0T Pure, which costs $58,900 before on-roads and subs the four-cylinder engine for a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 producing 224kW and 400Nm. A sunroof is a $1900 option on both Pure variants.

The controversial Direct Adaptive Steering system is standard across the range, along with a 360-degree surround-view camera, lane-keeping assist, LED headlamps, adaptive high-beam and moving object detection are all standard.

The same 3.0T engine is offered in the higher-grade 3.0T Sport, priced from $64,900 before on-road costs. That represents a $5500 price cut over the equivalent MY18 car.

Atop the base car's spec, Sport buyers get lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring and autonomous emergency braking.

Sitting above the Sport is the HEV 2WD Blue Sport model, priced from $70,900 before on-roads – down $2500 on its previous price. Power comes from a combination of a 3.5-litre V6 and an electric motor, making a combined 264kW and 564Nm. The all-wheel drive hybrid option is gone for 2019.

Topping the Q50 range is the 3.0T Red Sport which, thanks to a $5000 price cut, now costs $74,900 before on-road costs. It's powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 producing a not-insignificant 298kW of power and 475Nm of torque. Compared to more mundane models in the range, it gains a unique bodykit and wheels, along with sportier interior appointments.

When it comes to the Q60 coupe, the range has been cut from four to two variants. It kicks off with the 2.0T Pure, priced from $63,900 before on-road costs. That's a $1000 price increase over the current model.

Jumping to the range-topping Q60 3.0T Red Sport boosts the price to $84,900 before on-roads, a $4000 drop on the existing price. Metallic paint is a $1500 option across the range.
