Honda Civic Type R gets Phoenix Yellow paint job – video

The Honda Civic Type R is hardly what you'd call 'subtle', but an owner in the US has gone a step further to make its hot hatch stand out – and he's documented it on video.

HondaPro Jason recently uploaded a new clip to his YouTube channel, showing off his Phoenix Yellow Type R 'FK8', which he claims to be the only one in the world.

Does the colour look familiar to you? That's because it was a hero colour for the Integra Type R of the 1990s, and we reckon the bright hue suits the latest hot Civic hatchback quite well.

We won't spoil the story for you, but the job required the vehicle to be fully dismantled to paint it properly, and the owner has had several other modifications made to make his Type R is own.
