BMW Group: Vikram Pawah announced as Australian CEO

'With his extensive international industry experience and broad-based skillset, Vikram will bring a fresh perspective to the Australian market.'

BMW Group has announced Vikram Pawah will take over from Marc Werner as Australia/New Zealand CEO on August 1.

He'll be moving on from his role as BMW India's president, having joined the BMW Group in January 2017. His career in the auto industry spans more than 25 years.

“It gives me great pleasure to welcome Vikram to his expanded role," said Hildegard Wortmann, senior vice president of BMW Group, Asia Pacific.

"With his extensive international industry experience and broad-based skillset, Vikram will bring a fresh perspective to the Australian market."

Marc Werner will head back to Munich, where he's been appointed regional director for Asia Pacific, South Africa, Russia and all Mini import markets after four years at the helm of BMW Down Under.

"I would like to thank Marc for his commitment to the BMW, Mini and Motorrad brands in Australia over the past few years and for the success they have enjoyed under his stewardship. Marc leaves the position with our congratulations on his new appointment,” said Wortmann.
