2019 Lynk & Co 03 teased

Chinese brand releases official imagery of camouflaged sedan

Lynk & Co has teased its upcoming 03 sedan with a set of official 'spy images' this week, ahead of a full debut later this year or early next.

Set to become the new Chinese brand's third model when it goes on sale, the Lynk & Co 03 will share its Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform with its 01 and 02 stablemates, along with the Volvo XC40.

First published by the UK's Autocar, the trio of images released by the company show a camouflaged sedan that looks pretty much the same as the 03 concept shown at last year's Shanghai motor show.

In terms of styling, the 03 bears a strong resemblance to the 01 and 02 crossovers, though the most obvious difference is the four-door sedan body.

Power is said to come from a range of turbocharged petrol engines along with a plug-in hybrid system, the latter capable of running up to 40 miles (64km) in pure-electric mode.

Like its stablemates, the 03 will offer a range of high-end connected and infotainment technologies, including large touchscreens with internet connectivity and app-based functions, along with a fully-digital instrument cluster.

We'd wager an array of colourful personalisation options will also be offered for the exterior and interior, allowing owners to really make their vehicle stand out from the crowd – if the bold design wasn't already enough.

According to Autocar's report, the 03 is expected to be available for outright purchase or via a subscription service as per Lynk & Co's other model lines.

In terms of market availability, Lynk & Co has previously announced it's primarily focusing on the Chinese, European and US markets. We're yet to hear from the brand regarding an Australian launch.

Stay tuned for all the latest.
