McLaren Automotive has revealed and detailed the first Senna to be delivered in North America, headlined by its eye-catching green exposed carbon-fibre exterior finish.

Delivered to New Yorker, Michael Fux, this particular Senna is specified with various components and finishers from the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) catalogue.

First, let's talk about the exterior. The 'Full Visual Carbon Fibre Body' has been tinted in a custom colour called 'Fux Green'. Comprising 67 different parts, McLaren says the full set of body panels "takes almost 1000 hours to produce".

It's not just the body that features this finish either, Fux's Senna also has the same 'Fux Green' gloss carbon lining the cabin, contrasting with bright white leather upholstery.

The headliner, meanwhile, is finished in Carbon Black Alcantara, though the door struts and rear-view mirror are painted in green to go with Fux's theme.

Other bespoke appointments include blue and red wheel centre lock nuts, and ball-polished alloy wheels (don't laugh).

"We’re pleased to deliver the first McLaren Senna in the North American market,” said Tony Joseph, president for McLaren North America.

"This is such a special car, designed and engineered to be the ultimate road-legal track car ever produced by McLaren."

"We know that owners can’t wait to get their cars on the circuit, and we’re eager for them to get behind the wheel," he added.

Power in the Senna comes from an uprated version of the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 found in the 720S, tuned to deliver 588kW (800PS) of power and 800Nm of torque.

Weighing just 1198kg (dry) in its lightest configuration, the Senna claims to dash from 0-100 in just 2.7 seconds, and 0-200 (0-124mph) in 6.8 seconds.

The crazy body kit and massive rear wing also serve a purpose – contributing up to 800 kilograms of downforce when at speed.

The 'Fux Green' Senna joins Mr. Fux's bespoke 720S in his car collection, which is finished in a custom fuchsia colour dubbed "Fux Fuchsia" – can you see a pattern here?

He also owns an MP4-12C in McLaren Orange, along with an MP4-12C Spider finished in a bespoke purple hue.

Mr. Fux's Senna will be on display during Monterey Car Week on August 24, as part of 'The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering'.
