Mercedes-AMG's has confirmed initial Australian specifications for the updated C63 S family, scheduled to arrive Down Under in December.
Key highlights for the 2019 model-year C63 sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible include a new nine-speed multi-clutch automatic transmission (formerly seven), a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, nappa-look faux-leather dashboard trim, and LED headlights with adaptive high-beam function.
There's also a new AMG steering wheel with updated buttons and controls, active lane-change assist, route-based speed adaptation, an updated cruise control with improved traffic jam function, along with a new LED ambient lighting system configurable in 64 colours.
On top of the new features listed above, there's a host of equipment carried over from the pre-facelift model, including 19-inch alloy wheels, active parking assistant, the AMG Night package (black exterior highlights), heated folding exterior mirrors, and an automatic tailgate (Estate only).
Key exterior design changes include the Panamericana front grille, and a revised rear diffuser with updated exhaust finishers.
Power in the C63 S comes from the same 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 as before, making 375kW of power and 700Nm of torque. The coupe claims a 0-100 sprint in 3.9 seconds, which is unchanged from the previous model.
