2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe spied

Facelifted coupe-crossover spotted for the first time.

The facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe has been spied this week, ahead of an anticipated reveal either late this year or early next.

Like the updated GLC wagon spotted a week ago, this prototype for the facelifted coupe version sports new headlights, tail-lights and bumpers, which will make up the majority of the cosmetic upgrades.

It also appears the shape of the grille will be slightly revised, though the exact shape is difficult to see through the grey tape.

Also like the GLC wagon, this GLC Coupe prototype is wearing revised tailpipe finishers, and while the wheels on this vehicle are from the current model, we can expect some new designs in that department too.

No pictures of the interior have been snapped as yet, though it's logical to assume the GLC and GLC Coupe will benefit from the same cabin upgrades as the facelifted C-Class range – meaning a digital instrument cluster and high-definition 10.25-inch central infotainment display will be available.

Finally, a revised line-up of engines should round out the updates, including mild-hybrid 'EQ Boost' units as per the new C-Class range.

We're expecting the GLC and GLC Coupe to be revealed late in 2018, or early in 2019, ahead of a market launch around early- to mid-2019. It's unclear whether both will launch at the same time, or whether the wagon will hit the market first and the coupe shortly after.
